I have worked in one office or another for 18 years now.  I guess when I first started working straight after graduating high school, I thought I would work for a little while and try to save some money to get into college.  But I got used to getting that paycheck and thought I was doing just fine.  I spent with abandon and didn’t consider that I would have consequences to the heavy use of those credit cards.  What got me to thinking about my situation was by a chance reading of an article on bankruptcy laws and why some many people end up having to file for bankruptcy in the first place.  The article was really informative and sure made me think about where I might end up if I keep just spending most of my check and not saving or having a plan for my future.  I would hate to end up with no retirement, or having to work well into my old age.  I am going to first of all get some information from my Human Resources Department about setting up a 401K.  I am going to get whatever other information they have that’ll help me save myself from disaster.
