CITY OF LIGHTS
Last week was my winter vacation, and because it was bitter cold in Minnesota I decided to escape to California. I just couldn’t contain my excitement as I watched the clock in my classroom tick, watching the big hand slowly make its way around the face. Time flew by after that day and soon enough I was on the plane. I had a stop over in Chicago and I got stuck there for the night. My flight was cancelled. I didn’t really mind that much, because friends always tell me of the Antique Jewelry in Chicago and I love wearing all types of jewelry. They really dress up a person’s outfit. So I took a taxi (by myself), and I made my way downtown. It was already dark by the time I arrived, but that only made the city look even more beautiful. Lights were all around me and every way I looked I saw only more stores with endless beautiful clothing, artifacts, and art inside. I didn’t know where to start! So the first place I went to was what caught my eye the fastest and for the longest: the antique jewelry store I wanted to go to. That was my lucky day, and now I know that if things happen that go wrong for me, I should never be disappointed because there is always a way to make it up and be lucky again. I practically bought out the entire store (it cost me quite a fortune though)!
